What do you need?

Quick answers to the questions we get most. Still stuck? goodcompenny@gmail.com

01

Tickets

Where are my tickets?+

Every order has a confirmation page with QR codes for each ticket — that's your ticket. Find them under /my-tickets once you're signed in.

Used Tobeannounced before? Sign in with the same email you used to buy on TBA — your full history loads automatically. No claim step.

Can I transfer a ticket to someone else?+

Yes, if the organizer allows transfers on that event. Open the order page, hit Transfer on the ticket, and enter the new holder's name + email. They get the ticket via email; your QR stops working as soon as they accept.

Why is the address hidden?+

Some events use a secret location — usually a backyard or home venue. The exact address is sent to confirmed buyers after purchase. On the public page you'll see the city/state so you know roughly where it is before you buy.

02

Money

How do offers work?+

On tiers that allow it, you name your price instead of paying a fixed cost. Your card is authorized (not charged) when you submit. The organizer reviews and either accepts, rejects, or counters. If accepted, the card is charged; if not, the hold drops off.

Pending offers auto-expire after 7 days. The hold on your card is released automatically — you don't need to do anything.

Refund policy?+

Every event sets its own refund policy: no refunds, refundable anytime before doors, or a refund window (e.g. up to 7 days out). The policy is printed at the bottom of the event page before you check out and on your order confirmation.

Why is there a fee?+

Offerbased charges a small platform fee to keep the lights on. The fee is shown on checkout before you pay — no surprises. Organizers keep 100% of the ticket price; we don't take a cut of their revenue.

Running events

How do I get paid?+

Connect your bank to Stripe via Settings → Payouts. Once verified, payouts go straight from Stripe to your bank on their normal Stripe schedule. We never sit on your money.

How do I check people in?+

The Scan tab on any event opens a camera-based QR scanner. Point at the buyer's ticket QR; valid tickets check in green, used tickets show what time they came through, refunded tickets are blocked.

Working the door with friends? Generate a scanner link from the Scan tab — anyone with the link can scan that one event, no login needed. Revoke it whenever.

Can I give someone a free ticket?+

Yes — the Attendees tab has a Comp tickets button. Pick a tier, set the quantity, optionally email the QRs straight to the recipient. The tickets count against tier capacity the same way a paid sale would.

How do I message my attendees?+

The Messages tab lets you send an email or SMS blast to a saved audience (anyone matching a set of rules: bought a tier, attended a past event, etc.). Up to 500 recipients per send.
